Traveling by Car
One of the things that amaze me is how accommodating road travel can. Rest stops every 50 or so miles along with places to eat and sleep. Traveling the backroads of the countryside where quaint towns offer us distinct culinary treasures and picturesque landscapes. There are so many areas that mesmerize you with the beautiful sights and enrich you with cultural experiences. Exploring the history of an area as you approach. Learning about different times and changes that may have occurred is interesting.
Traveling By Train
This is by far an excellent way to explore this vast country on a budget. Traveling overnight presents you with a few accommodation options: you can book a roomette or bedroom, or you can rough it in coach. Coach seats, despite being the cheapest option, have generous proportions, ample legroom (often superior to many airlines’ business class seats) and recline quite far back.
Plenty of people do sleep in coach cars and it’s perfectly safe to do so; you’ll see whole families boarding and preparing to camp down with their own duvets and pillows.
Some of the scenic routes have Dome Car, with seats facing out with views through panoramic windows designed to make the most of the sublime scenery you’ll be passing through.
Travel By Air
Do you still get excited with flying? Well, I do. I have flown a number of times but the thought of flying still excites me. I am not sure if it is the thought of flying or the thought of my new adventure that I am about to embark on or both. It’s amazing to me that I could be anywhere on the globe in less than 24 hours. Truly awesome. A tropical paradise, snorkeling oro fishing all day. Or just relaxing by the beach.
Getting discounted travel by air is also very nice. If you book flights as far in advance as possible like some of us organized frequent flyers. (2-3 Months). Smoking deals await you. There is also last minute risks.
